jarno’s multi-win-boot DVD
trulli’s multi-boot DVD is a project that I started, triggered by the frustration of installing windows and all the default applications time after time. The target of this project is developing a DVD which makes installing Windows less time consuming. When the DVD is finished, it will include loads of drivers (which get auto installed with windows) and applications which can be selected for automatic installation. The DVD will also contain loads of handy tools for system recovery.
This DVD is made for personal use only and not for sale. Licenses of all Microsoft products on this DVD, are owned by me, mostly MSDN licenses.
The multi-windows-boot menu (see picture below) contains the following options:
- Windows XP Professional SP2 Dutch
- Default Installation;
- Unattended Installation;
- OEMPreinstall;
- Windows XP Professional SP2 English;
- Default Installation;
- Unattended Installation;
- OEMPreinstall;
- Windows Server 2003;
- Windows Server 2003 Standard;
- Windows Server 2003 Enterprise;
- Hiren’s BootCD 8.3;
- Winternals ERD Commander 2005;
- Winternals ERD Commander 2005 /inram.
Explanation of the setup options:
- Default installation, the setup will provide editable defaults. Normal setup. A menu will pop up after the setup is finished. You can select the applications you want to install here (for an example menu, click on the thumb below);
- Unattended Installation, fully unattended windows setup. Select your destination partition in the setup and you are ready to go. A menu will pop up after the setup is finished. You can select the applications you want to install here (for an example menu, click on the thumb below);
- OEMPreinstall, fully unattended installation of windows and default applications. The setup will install windows with default settings and install the applications I preconfigured. No user input needed;
- Windows Server 2003 Standard and Enterprise. These installations are just the default MSDN disks. They provide defaults only and have no application popup after the setup.
